Recently, China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd. (CNBM) held the launch ceremony for the sixth "Resource Efficiency Day" open event in Beijing, under the theme "Innovation-Driven Development, Green Empowerment", coupled with an innovation achievements matchmaking conference for new engineering construction materials. The event was organized by its subsidiary, China Building Materials Academy. It innovatively featured new segments such as a thematic forum for the engineering construction industry and on-chain Party building alliance signing ceremonies, comprehensively demonstrating CNBM’s active practice of its role as a leader of the industrial chain, and its commitment to deeply integrating technological innovation with industrial innovation, and mutually promoting green, low-carbon development with open sharing.

Attending the ceremony and jointly inaugurating the event were: Chang Zhangli, CNBM Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager; Liu Lei, CNBM Standing Committee Member; Peng Shou, CNBM Chief Scientist and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Huang Chao, Standing Committee Member and Vice President of China Railway Group; Zhu Bing, CNBM Assistant General Manager and President of Sinoma International; Zhang Wenjin, Deputy Party Secretary of China Building Materials Academy. The thematic forum was divided into two stages: a plenary session and parallel sub-forums, highlighting the integration of cutting-edge technological development and market application transformation. Experts from the industry, including Academicians, and external specialists were invited as speakers and moderators, ensuring the authority and professionalism of the exchanges and discussions.

During the plenary session, Peng Shou, Huang Chao, Zhu Bing, Wang Zhonghai, and Zhang Wenjin delivered thematic reports. They comprehensively introduced the current industry development landscape, focusing on topics such as quality materials supporting quality housing, development trends of new materials and technological innovation mechanisms, engineering applications of new materials, and international development.

In the sub-forum stage, responsible persons from 18 enterprises including China Building Materials Academy and BNBM shared insights in two parallel sessions: "New Materials Empowering the Building Construction and Decoration Sector" and "New Materials Facilitating the Upgrade of Transportation and Energy Infrastructure". They exchanged views with representatives from over 200 engineering enterprises on topics including application scenarios for new materials, technological innovation in new energy, and green and intelligent development, discussing frontier application practices and key development directions in their respective professional fields.

As an important stop of the Group’s "World Friendly Youth Building Materials Tour" activity, this event also invited 18 Chinese and foreign youths from the Group’s overseas enterprises and international universities to participate collectively. Through site visits, technical explanations, and cultural exchanges, it effectively promoted cross-cultural integration among Chinese and foreign youth.

CNBM, with its corporate mission of "Materials Creating a Better World", has been planning and holding the "Resource Efficiency Day" open event for six consecutive years since 2020. The event was attended by more than 650 participants, including journalists from 24 media outlets such as People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV News, Guangming Daily, Economic Daily, China Daily, Science and Technology Daily, and Workers’ Daily, as well as representatives from over 200 engineering construction enterprises including China Railway Group and China Energy Engineering Corporation. The open day event was simultaneously live-streamed on domestic and international social media platforms, receiving widespread attention and positive feedback from fans both in China and abroad.
