France VICAT Group Bastas 15MW WHR Project Successfully Synchronized for Power Generation

At 17:45 on September 11, 2023, the 15MW WHR project for Bastas Cement Plant in Turkey under France VICAT Group, which is contracted by Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering Co., Ltd. (STEC) under China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd. was successfully synchronized for the power generation at one time.
Since the civil construction of the project started at the end of 2022, it has experienced many difficulties, and has experienced two strong earthquakes with magnitude of 7.8 in Turkey successively, causing serious damage to some ports in Turkey due to the earthquake and the impact of inland transportation. STEC has worked together to solve problems such as construction progress and quality, equipment shortage and transportation, personnel emotions and safety, and made every effort to ensure that the project is completed on schedule and synchronized to the grid for power generation.
BASTAS Cement plant is a subsidiary of VICAT Cement Group in France, a world-famous cement group, and one of the largest cement plants in Turkey. On the second day after the successful power generation of this project, the senior management of VICAT Cement Group personally inspected the operation of the waste heat power plant and highly praised the STEC's technical level and management ability. This project will save 118,800,000 kilowatt hours of electricity annually help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 93,555 tons annually, and create direct economic and indirect social benefits for the plant.
