Date:2022-11-25

On November 17, the National Conference on Promoting Carbon Peak in Building Materials Industry was held in Beijing with the theme of "green, low-carbon, safe and high-quality". Chen Kelong, Director of the Department of Raw Materials of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Yan Xiaofeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of China Building Materials Federation, Zhou Yuxian, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of China Building Materials Group (CNBM), Peng Shou, Academician of the CAE Member, Chief Engineer of China Building Materials Group, Chairman of Triumph Group, Anhui Conch Group, Huaxin Cement, Beijing Building Material Groupand other representatives attended the meeting. At the meeting, a signing ceremony was held for the second batch of major “scientific and technological reward” projects in the national building materials industry.

On November 22, the China Building Materials Federation officially announced the second batch of “scientific and technological reward” projects and the list of companies to unveil the list. Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering Co., Ltd. (STEC) successfully get rewards by two key projects, one of them is the New Process and Key Equipment Development of Carbon Capture in Cement Kiln Flue Gas led by China Building Materials Glass New Materials Research Institute Group Co., Ltd. and the other one is Research and Engineering Demonstration of Key Process and Technology of "Zero Carbon" Glass Factory led by China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd.(CTIEC).

This is another important achievement after the STEC was successfully shortlisted in the first batch of “scientific and technological reward” projects last year. In the past year, whether in R&D or project implementation with top speed and step onto the stoneincluding first glass furnace in the world and the first CO2 capture project of CNBM have been launched. Under the strategic guidance of CNBM and Triumph Technology Group and the work guidance of CNBM Glass New Materials Research Institute Group and CTIEC, STEC will cherish the opportunity, spare no effort, and earnestly implement the task of “scientific and technological reward”" Practically implement the "double carbon" strategic goal with practical actions, help CNBM to innovate and build a full life cycle "building materials+" integrated green industrial chain, and boost the innovative development of green and low-carbon technologies in the building materials industry.
